Star Tree in the News

=======================================

Greetings...

April 13, 2011

It's been a long while since I posted some updates, but I didn't have much to report. However, that has changed, which is a good thing. :)

I recently recorded the narration for The Star Tree which will become available along with the eBook at a new website that features and helps promote unknown authors with unpublished books. Details on that are in the works. Stay tuned...

There is a new author interview in a small publication out of Ojai, California called The Bubble. You can read the scanned pages at this link below:

That's it for now. Check back for more news soon!

Keep dreaming...

It's been just over a year since Elba and I assembled the first book dummy for "The Star Tree" and I thought it was worth celebrating with a video for people to learn more about the project and story.

You can view the video on the WATCH page or click the link below to go directly to YouTube.

Thanks for all of the support!

Peace,

Jeff & Elba

(Jan. 16, 2009)

Well, we just finished printing out The Star Tree book dummy and it looks amazing! It feels great to hold it in our hands, touch the paper, flip through the pages, read the story and stare at all of the beautiful drawings. Wow. It really is a dream come true.

A book dummy isn't the finished, published version, but more of a rough draft in B&W. At this stage of the process, Elba sketched about 32 pages that embellished the written story as I imagined it. We collaborated back and forth via email until we were both satisfied with the look and mood. The end result will be used to shop around for traditional publication.

Elba will be attending a children's book and literature conference this weekend (Jan. 17th) so we just made our deadline. Woo-hoo!

Over the next few weeks we'll be putting together a package for publishers and taking our efforts to the next level. We feel strongly about the subject matter and the quality of work, so stepping forward with our best foot feet won't be a problem. ;)

The story is solid, the artwork is top-rate and we're committed to finding the right home for The Star Tree, a tale of cosmic conservation.

We'll continue to add more news as it trickles in. Wish us luck!

Best,

Jeff
